0.11.28 — a time limit that speaks for itself

The previous release gave the button a time limit: when the quiet verification does not finish within fifteen seconds, we stop waiting for it and the click comes back. The reasoning was sound, the execution half done. A button's return is a change of opacity and of one word — precisely the kind of difference invisible to someone who does not remember the earlier state and has nothing to compare it against.

So a sentence now stands below the button. It says three things in order: that the check is taking longer than usual, that the button is active again, and what to do if the sending still does not go through. It is not an error message, because there is no error yet — it is a description of the situation the reader has just landed in, offered before they conclude the site is broken.

The sentence carries `role="status"`, so a screen reader announces it as it appears rather than whenever the reader happens to wander past it in the form. That is not decoration: this whole situation consists of something changing without the reader's involvement, and the news of the change has to reach someone who is not looking at that part of the page — either because they are not looking at all, or because they are looking at the keyboard.

The appearance matches everything else: the serif face, the text colour, a vertical rule on the left. The site has no red boxes and no warning signs, and it is not about to acquire them for the sake of one message. The sentence is meant to be visible because it stands alone beneath the button, not because it shouts.
